Theme: Perceptions
Thank you Kavkaz for this forum.  Understanding is achieved through dialog. Violence is not the answer, unless the question is what does V I O L E N C E spell? In America we do not like the way many things are presented by our news media and Hollywood.  Hollywood would have been a much better target than the WTC, at least something would have been accomplished. Now the radical Muslim terrorist have achieved little more than angering the USA and the world.  The government of the USA is always developing new weapon systems, and looking for places to test them.  We must thank the terrorists for giving us new targets for this testing. People in the USA do not dislike Muslims.  In fact the Arab world has brought many wonderful foods to American cuisine, which is more than I can say for McDonald's hamburgers.  Muslim clerics need to speak loudly against terrorism. This is not the path to Islam, it is suicide.  Teach the children what is right and what is wrong.  None of us want them living in war. America influences the world so much because of our success, a success founded on freedom and tolerance of different religions and beliefs.  The entire world will never be any one type of government or religion, it's human nature.  This is much better than the world might have turned-out forty years ago.  We could all be eating fatty foods and speaking french!

Theme: Concerns about fanaticism, ignorance and the glorification of War
Greetings, Recently stumbled upon your site, very well done btw. It saddens me to hear about what is happening in Chechnya, one of many cases of war, injustice, greed, and ignorance of nations & peoples. It concerns me greatly that with so much violence in the world today, we will not find peace any time soon for any confict, and that the hatred and feelings of revenge will blind the search we all seek for justice, peace and freedom for everyone on this planet we call Home. I, among many westerners, have very little understanding of the Islam, besides what we are told by the media, which in the vast majority of cases shows only reports of terrorism by muslims or muslim groups as Hamas, Al-Queda, Hezbollah, list goes on and on... and lack of freedom(for example of islamic women in Afghanistan, or restriction of free press in Iran, both I guess are political reasons not religious) and talk about islamic leaders calling all muslims to pursue a Holy War against the USA and Europe. Due to this, most of the people in the West sees Islam as a threat, a dangerous religion of triggerhappy suicidal maniacs out to bomb planes and embassies. And, lets be honest, the groups and peoples responsible arent setting an example by blowing up stuff, and changing anything thru violence and war isnt an answer and just doesnt work. Only leads to more hatred and bloodshed and further fueling misconcepted ideas and ignorance on both sides. Used to think also that Islam is what the media portrayed, with governments like Iran and Afghanistan using religion as a tool to sustain their power. Not to mention the minority of fanatic groups,  that holds such closed minded views that only thru violence and bloodshed a solution can be found, and who are also using religion also as a tool. Sadly the fact is that regardless of what religion one looks at, there are always people looking to take advantage of those beleifs and of the ignorance of others and use it for their own gain. Islam, along with any other religion, doesnt condone violence. Every religion preaches the understanding and respect of one self and others, that life is sacred, and to live in peace and freedom and happyness... I sure hope President Bush of the USA, will not try to appease any feelings of revenge by attacking civilians in Afghanistan, and by doing so only aggrevate the situation... Instead that the US, along with every nation on Earth, find the people responsible, and those that funded, helped or encouraged these criminals, and bring them to justice. And most of all I hope, that on all sides, everywhere in the world, peoples will search for the Truth... by respecting each others beleifs and opinions, and listening and talking others without prejudice or stubborn closed mindedness. So we can all realize the Truth, that nobody is better then anyone else, that we are all equal, each and every one of us regardless of race, religion, or nationality... And every single being on this planet got the right to live a free, happy and peaceful life and be able to pursue their dreams. To the Chechens, my thoughts go out to you, that the suffering you endure will end and you will be able to live a happy, fullfilling and peaceful life, with the ability to choose your destiny freely without having it enforced upon you at gunpoint.

Observer or ygeorg from Russia, the truth of the matter is that you Russians could not protect yourself in Afghanistan and you can not protect yourself in Chechnya. Try protecting yourself from your Vodka Bottle, AIDS, Suicide and mass poverty. You Russians are not just barbaric murderers but you are clowns too. But you circus never amused me and it never lasted too long in any one town. The problem is not Islam or muslims but something very sinister - possibly the real criminal behind the bombings are Russians and Israeli's themselves who benefitted the most from this tragedy, as it justified their oppression in Chechny and Jurasalem. Osama has become the favorite bogey man for the West. In looking for the criminals who did the bombing I would start in Russia and Israel. If Israel could torpedoe USS Enterprise why could they not blow up the Twin Towers. After all in the words of their own Rabbis, Jewish life is supreme and no effort must be wasted in ensuring world domination by Israel at any and all costs.

But I still don't understand why you would sacrifice a goat and be happy when people who had nothing to do with the war lost their lives. It is not befitting for a Muslim to rejoice at an innocent person's misery and loss. Perhaps you don't think they were so innocent; but only Allah knows best and you have no right to claim they were all guilty without solid proof for each person who died, and upon whose death you now rejoice. And no one should claim whether a collective loss of life was a punishment of God, because only Allah has that knowledge. It might very well be a trial by God, a test to see how well we do. All we can say that it was a sign of Allah's immense power; for He may smite whoever He pleases; and we should seek His mercy. It is a tragedy that Muslims are killed around the world and some of us do nothing, but it is also a tragedy that non-Muslims, who are not evil, die by! the hands of evil people. You should understand that. I think its the Zionists who run the US govt and control the media who always want to make the Muslims fight with the Christians/Americans/Europeans, just as they have done so for centuries. All that some of them want is to spread fitna, to see us in misery. Against such people should we wage jihad, and we should fight them the same way they fight us: Quran 9.036 "..and fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves." And they fight us with their media, their technology, their foreign policies and with their cunning. So when Allah has commanded us to fight them as they fight us; then why do we fight them with sticks and stones, when they smite us with their technology and media. Why don't we get that technology media which they have and which Allah has commanded us to get, so we may fight them at their own terms? Why do the mullas ban tv, radio, internet? Will you fight them with your Klashankovs when they will nuke you from the heavens; and you won't know what hit you? All the mullas want is the Muslim nation to go backwards; if they had it their way, we would be all riding camels by now! I fear the Americans will wage war against the people of Afghanistan. I don't understand why the US won't let the Afghans try Osama and show them eveidence of his involvement. They are also hypocrites, and want to destroy Islam, on the precept of Osama. When the Afghan leadership is asking the US to give them proof of Osma's involvement and to let them try him in court, then why does the US insist on violence? But the Muslims have brought this misery upon themselves, the reclusive attitude of the Taliban has secluded them from the world even more, like a hermit. May Allah protect His righteous people!

Have you not read the incident of the man, who used to throw thorns and rocks and make holes and traps in Muhammad's (saw) path, just to annoy him? Then when his son got sick and was about to die, Muhammad (saw) went to this man's home, this man who was his mortal enemy, to sympathize and give consolation; and to ask the boy on his death bed to submit to the one God. Tell me what makes you so happy and why you rejoice at other people's misery; why do you not follow in Muhammad's foot steps? I don't think you should call yourself a Muslim, people like you are a disgrace to the word Muslim. Read this: 5:32 "For this reason did We prescribe to the children of Israel that whoever slays a soul, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he slew all men; and whoever keeps it alive, it is ! as though he kept alive all men; and certainly Our messengers came to them with clear arguments, but even after that many of them certainly act extravagantly in the land.". Why then would you be happy at the death of these people; who caused you no harm, who did not oppress you; but who were only working and feeding their children and wives at home? Do your realize how many children were orphaned by this? Perhaps some of these children would have grown to be good men and women, but now we will never know? And ignorants like you rejoice at this loss! Do you know what the penalty for spreading mischief in the land is? Do you? 5.033 "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter". Is it not clear th! at people who are mischievous in Allah's land, are both disgraced in this world (as is happening) and suffer in HELL for eternity? Do you want to be one of these people? Do you want to go to Hell with them? You do not have any sorrow or remorse for innocent children and widows and good men who died in those buildings; how can we accept any sympathy from you for Muslim orphans and widows? You are a hypocrite. May Allah guide you to wherever you want to be guided to. If you want to be guided to Hell, and be happy at innocent deaths, then may Allah speed your way to Hell.

Dear people from Afghanistan, and staff from Kavkaz.org. I've rarely been the same onpinion with you, but what Mr Bush will do, is the most horrible thing that could have happen. The USA used the sorrow of their NATO partners. We certainly do not support such an atrocity. They always forget, that behind a government always are the people. May Allah AND God help you to survive as you did under the soviets. We here are deeply afraid. NOBODY in Germany would have supported military actions! This was an abuse of our feelings after the terror attack onto the wtc buildings. Please do not think that we would support them. Theme: And NATO wants us to give up our weapons ???
As is evident from the article below, it is strange that NATO has not yet asked all Muslims to simply slit their own throats ?  NATO wants Muslims to give up all of their arms while the murderous Macedonian forces remain armed to the teeth. The results have been disastrous as we see a repeat of Bosnia's war atrocities then by the monstrous butcher Serbs, and now the new butcher Macedonians, many of whom are the Serbian pigs themselves. There should be no dialogue no treaty no words. Muslims have seen and suffered enough. From the broken peace by Russian pigs in Chechnya to torture and ethnic cleansing in the Balkans by their fellow brother pigs, the Serbs. Unrelenting and continuous gorilla warfare in every corner of the globe where there is oppression is the only solution for Muslims and the only honourable response to being treated like animals by the world. For Muslims now war is the only answer.
Group: Macedonia Forces Killed Civilians in Revenge.

Macedonian Interior Minister Ljube Boskovski has said an August 10-12 sweep by security forces through the village of Ljuboten targeted a bastion of ethnic Albanian guerrillas and the casualties were solely ``terrorists'' who fell in battle. The New York-based rights group said its inquiry into the violence, which occurred days before a Western-engineered peace accord under which guerrillas have begun handing in weapons to NATO (news - web sites) soldiers, found no basis for the government position. It said security forces had shot dead six civilians, killed three in random shelling and beaten scores of detainees after 18 soldiers died in two rebel attacks. ``The evidence available to (us) indicates that the attack on Ljuboten had no military justification and was carried out for purposes of revenge and reprisal,'' it said in a 27-page report. In early August, 10 government soldiers were killed in a guerrilla ambush west of Skopje. Eight soldiers died later when their vehicle hit two land mines on a road near Ljuboten. They were stunning blows to Macedonia's small, hard-pressed army. On August 10, security forces sealed off Ljuboten, a mainly ethnic Albanian village on fluid front lines just north of Skopje, and a brutal attack began, Human Rights Watch said. ``They indiscriminately shelled the village, causing the deaths of a 6-year-old boy and a 66-year-old man, and contributing to the death of another elderly man who died from shock after a shell hit his home,'' the group said. ``During a Sunday house-to-house attack, police forces shot dead six civilians. One man was killed by police as he tried to close the door to his home when police entered the yard. ``Two men were summarily executed by police after they were taken out of the basement in which they were hiding. Another three civilians were shot dead by police after they tried to flee their home, which had been set afire by police shelling.'' The report, quoting testimony from named Albanians, said that in the August 12 search, police fired indiscriminately into homes, sometimes hurling grenades inside. At least 22 buildings were set ablaze and some civilians were robbed of valuables. ARSON AND BEATINGS IN CUSTODY ``The abuse continued for the hundreds of ethnic Albanian civilians who tried to flee Ljuboten,'' Human Rights Watch said. At least three Albanian male villagers were beaten unconscious by ``Macedonian vigilantes'' in full view of police, and one was shot and wounded as he tried to escape, it said.  More than 100 males were rounded up and taken to police stations in Skopje where they were severely beaten, it said.  The badly beaten and mutilated corpse of one detainee, Atulah Qaini, 35, was recovered later by relatives at the Skopje city morgue, the group said. At least 24 males, including a 13-year-old boy, remained in police custody. ``There is no credible evidence of an NLA presence in Ljuboten during the attack, nor that any of the villagers put up armed resistance...,'' Human Rights Watch said. But it noted that armed uniformed rebels of the National Liberation Army had met foreign journalists in Ljuboten several times in June to escort them behind front lines. State television broadcast footage on August 12 showing Interior Minister Boskovski on the balcony of a home, ringed by armed police, overlooking part of Ljuboten. He has denied any wrongdoing, saying the violence was all battle-related. Around 100 people have been killed and more than 125,000 displaced in a six-month conflict triggered when guerrillas burst out of Macedonia's northern border mountains, demanding better rights for the large ethnic Albanian minority. Casualties have been low compared with conflicts in other regions of old Yugoslavia like Bosnia and Kosovo.  But ethnic hatred was fanned by heavy army shelling of Albanian villages, the flight of Macedonians from intimidation in mixed areas seized by rebels, and abductions of Macedonians.  In one case, guerrillas carved their group's initials into the backs of three detainees who were later freed.
