In the
city of Shali was destroyed one of the special-subdivisions of «Night angels»,
which is part of valiantly known diversion-terroristic group of Interior
Ministry of RF in the territory of CRI, «DON-2» (everything together -
structural subdivisions of the Individual Brigade of Special Task Force). It is
authentically known from different sources that members of this terrorist
grouping deployed in Shalin district of CRI, are busy in complete punitive
actions on destruction of civilians and hostages. Six large zindanov (torture
pits) are daily overloaded with kidnapped people. In the center of this
concentration camp has been arranged a helipad, from where daily are arranged
onslaughts into the mountain villages and populated areas in the foothills.
The first three days here usually is conducted so-called «filtration» of the
victims, brought into concentration camp. Some have to pay ransom, some have to
be exchanged, and some have to wait for execution. The trench is dug out for the
last category in 300 meters from the torture pits. Special interest in those,
whose parents or comrades can pay ransom. Here serve usually mercenaries from
Sakhalin, Primorye and Siberia. Here are Muscovites and citizens of Piter. This
subdivision obtained unusual name because of its «specialization».
Terrorists from detachment of «Night angels» basically operate at night.
Visual reconnaissance is conducted in the daytime, and «targets» are planned.
In the course of raids, the invaders kidnap, kill, rob, and mutilate innocent
citizens, while trying to spread fear and panic among people. Sometimes «Night
angels» fire at their own subdivisions and block posts, demanding them for the
fire of artillery and mortars on the populated areas.
One of the routine raids proved to be catastrophic for «Night angels» acting
in Shali. Mujahideen figured out terrorists and arranged an ambush for them. In
the short night struggle in the outskirts of the city, mujahideen destroyed four
terrorists and one employee-operative of the local pro-Russian occupational
militia, who came forward in the role of guide and conductor. Six additional
night killers obtained serious injuries. Thus, one of the subdivisions of «Night
angels» ceased to exist on the night of December 26, 2001.
