War
in Chechnya goes on not the first year. It had time to become the inherent
attribute of life, partly information order of the day of the information about
the losses of the servicemen no one shocks for the Russian resident, information
about the military crimes causes yawning. It seemed that the journalists of all
genres and directions already exhausted entire their lexical reserve, describing
this war. However, still are innovations. Thus, for instance, new word
combination is introduced into the attention – «squadron
of death».
Earlier it was considered that the given «procedure» is difficultly resolvable
questions in the policy - wholly the privilege of South American dictatorships.
Indeed precisely from there, most frequently was conveyed information about the
bloody tracks of these subdivisions. Now here, this word combination appeared in
statement of «Memorial».
It is completely obvious that the desire to use secret special subdivisions, for
the solution of the political problems is «not traditional method», which is
characteristic for the entire world history. And «banana» countries here had
no exception. It is known that to services of the similar «squadron» came
running the Spanish government, attempting to regulate its «conflicting»
Basques. Without straining on judgments and consequences, few people were killed,
which they only suspected of the connections with Basque separatists. But there
is famous 007, as not the representative of such «squadron»? Its license to
the murder, i.e., the right to kill at will, sweeps aside concept itself about
the presumption of innocence. Justice with technology MacDonald - client obtains

For a while back, word combination of the «squadron of death» actively was
inflated in the press in connection with events in Byelorussia. Lukashenko
directly was charged with their creation, for eliminating the political enemies.
Now, telling about the cleaning in Argun, «Memorial» so stated that similar
subdivisions were created and act in Chechnya. There is the basic error in this.
In Chechnya, there are no specially created «squadrons of death». (I
personally prefer word «punitive»). The history of Russian -Chechen wars in
the last centuries shows that absolutely ALL Russian troops in Chechnya
fulfilled and fulfill punitive functions. Some with smaller, while others with
larger activity, but in the cleanings, maraud, murders participate all forms of
troops.
Why information of «Memorial» so willingly edited practically all internet-
publications?
Everything is very simple. Telling about «squadrons of death» to resident, the
latter begins to think about the fact that in Chechnya, massive presence of
troops - these are «good fellows». But «goats» also come across. Head of FSB
in Chechnya hurriedly uses this. Making terrible face, General Babkin threatens
to derive all «committed excess» of official authorities» to the pure water.
It is completely obvious that these are only empty words. If Babkin in reality
would want to conduct cleaning of his soldiers, then he should be replanted for
the beginning of all FSBshniks (FSB officers) in Chechnya. Proposal to give
information about transgressions to local residents, also promises to the latter
nothing good. It is known to all as concluded some cases of issuing similar
statements to the representative of the President of Russia on the Human Rights
in Chechnya, Kalamanov. After certain time, with the addresses indicated in the
statements, came «guests» in the camouflage was performed the explanatory work,
as a result of which either the plaint responded or its claimer disappeared.
This is the department of Kalamanov! But what can be said about FSB!
Of course, I want to charge «Memorial» in nothing- to all it is known, as much
did and does this organization. The force of their information is not in the
fact that they stated about existence of such special groups, but in the fact
that Russian serviceman and special services directly advanced the charges in
their creation. Nevertheless, I will repeat: it would be erroneous to consider
that although some small part of the Russian troops in Chechnya behaves
otherwise. From first second of his stay on the Chechen ground, Russian soldier
consciously destroys any Chechen. Russian society kept silent, when Chubais
stated, that war in Chechnya was necessary for the revival of Russian army. All
kept silent, when Shamanov called to destroy the family of the soldiers of
resistance. Nothing will occur now. The independent investigation at least of
one case of murder and maraud in Chechnya, will inevitably show all that this is
the distinctive characteristic of Russian servicemen is their everyday practice.
And surprisingly that society shuts its eye to all this, is strange enough: it
is likely that Russian society is absolutely confident in the fact that the
soldiers - maniacs, who returned from Chechnya, will suddenly become the
respectable and pacified citizens. Statistics speaks reverse. Here given, which
gave massive militia ranks. Only in one year in Moscow and Moscow district were
kidnapped people of different ranks more than in all criminal years in Chechnya.
The overwhelming majority of abductions are made for the purpose of ransom by
Russian criminal groupings. Not one ten militiamen and employees of FSB are
passed in the criminal cases, connected with these abductions. Practically all
these criminal cases conclude with anything. Since it is possible to explain
more than 6 thousand buried under snow (corpses of those discovered in spring,
as a result of the thaw of snow) each year. I will repeat: this happens only in
Moscow city and Moscow region.
I do not know, where are taken these «people» for this work. I exactly know,
where they pass combat hardening. And it is similar, that this secret of
Punchinello remained unknown to the majority of politicians in Russia. But yes
this is not their interest. Number of their guards increase year after year. And
this is also official statistics.
