The
last twenty-four hours did not bring in any serious military changes in general
situation in the territory of CRI. Russian occupational formations continued
punitive actions, firings and aviation strikes on Chechen villages. The mobile
subdivisions of Chechen mujahideen continued local combat operations and
saboteur actions against aggressors.
According
to the data of the staff of Chechen command, during the recent twenty-four hours,
invaders conducted several punitive operations in Gudermes, Nozhai-Yurtovsky and
Shelkovskaya districts of the country, and so in the villages of Makhkety,
Khattuni, Elistanzhi and Selmentauzen of Vedeno district. In the course of these
actions, in hostages were taken about 120 people.
Practically
all have been taken into Khankala. As usual, is unknown the fate of tens of
innocent citizens of Argun, which were seized by aggressors from 11th
December. Hundreds of townspeople daily carry out the actions of the protest in
front of the staff of occupation forces, demanding immediate release of hostages.
Protest demonstrations were held against occupational regime in Shali city.
Chechen
sources report about military clashes with formations of occupation forces in
the region of the populated areas of Belgatoi, Shamil-Hutar, Itum-kali, Aslambek
Sheripov, Heidi-Hutar and so near the villages of Kargalinovskaya in
Shelkovskaya district of CRI, and Duba-Yurt in Shalinsky district. According to
the data of the staff of mujahideen in the course of these clashes, which had a
nature of local military operations, were destroyed not less than 23 invaders
and were burnt up 7 units of different combat machinery of enemy.
From Chechen side, two mujahideen became shaheed and about 10 obtained injuries.
At the same time, in the course of conducting saboteur actions in Johar, Argun
and Gudermes into the captivity to invaders fell four Chechen soldiers. Chechen
side so reported the fact that three mujahideen fell into captivity several days
ago on the boundary of Ingushetia and CRI.
