A
series of attacks of Palestinian – suicide attackers on the last off-days in
reality shook Israel. Practically panicky moods are noted in all cities. Israeli
authorities found nothing original, how again to come forward with threats in
address of Palestinians. Jewish troops again blocked a number of Palestinian
populated areas. Situation in the region became extremely critical.
On
Sunday in the Israeli city of Haifa, Palestinian- suicide killer exploded bomb
in the bus, as a result of which were killed, at least, 16 people. About 40
people were hospitalized with the injuries of different levels of seriousness.
But in the night on Sunday immediately three powerful explosions thundered in
the center Al-Quds (Jerusalem), in one of the busy urban streets. Two
Palestinian teenagers – suicide killers, set explosive devices in action. As a
result of these attacks, not less than 20 Israelis were killed and about 200
were injured.
On
Sunday, it became known in the daytime that grouping of Yasser Arafat, which is
recognized by Israel as the official authorities of Palestine, introduced
so-called state of emergency in Gaza sector and in the Western shore of Jordan.
Yasser Arafat held a meeting with his supporters and leaders of the service of
security. Arafat condemned terrorism and promised to arrest the persons,
participating in the present attacks. The attacks of Palestinian – suicide
killer caused violent reaction among the allies of Israel. President of USA,
George Bush called their «murders, which do not have justification». The
governments of Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Egypt, Italy and other
countries issued statements, which sharply condemn the organizers of these
attacks.
Meanwhile
in Israel itself, moods are changing. In spite of the martial rhetoric of Sharon,
who is strictly and main provocateur of the new aggravation of situation in
Palestine, after his known visit of mosque Al-Aqsa and insults in the address of
Moslems and Islam, citizens of Israel more increasingly put forward the question
about expediency of the policy of present Israeli authorities. The assertions of
Sharon about the fact that his aim is to provide security of Israel, in reality
lead to the opposite result. Safety of Israelis not only was not strengthened
with arrival of Sharon, but also vice versa sharply decreased. The policy of
terrorist attacks on Palestinian leaders and goal-directed political murders led
to reciprocal actions of the Palestinians, who use only effective weapon
available to them in the hands against invaders - Suicide killers.
