Agency
«Azzam» with reference to Afghan command reports about fierce battles of
government troops of Taliban with the American commandos and formations of the
armed opposition in the province of Helmand. According to these data, combat
near the capital of province occurred on 30th November and 1 December.
Americans invaded the province from the side of Iran. As reports agency «Azzam»,
attack was supported by tanks and combat helicopters. American commandos
penetrated southern part of Helmand city. Them here was awaiting ambush of
Taliban. The Afghan command, to which refers «Azzam», reported that mujahideen
used heavy artillery, BM rockets and ZSV-23 Anti-Aircraft guns against the
advancing unit.
In
the course of fierce fighting, on the assertion of Taliban, were destroyed
around 80 American commandos, three tanks and two
Apache (AH-64) helicopters. The
losses are minimum from the side of mujahideen. Earlier in the same province in
the place of Koumalk near Douistan river were killed not less than 50 American
commandos. Furthermore, Afghan command again stated that the air defense weapons
of Taliban shot down American warplane near Kandahar airport. The Pentagon, in
turn, denied not only loss of aircraft, but also generally any losses. Western
mass media do not report about combat operations in Afghanistan, in which
participate American troops. This communicates nothing about combat in Helmand.
Americans as before insist, that there are no combat losses in their lines.
However, Afghan command declares, that today the losses of USA and England
already exceed 500 soldiers.
The
same agency «Azzam», which is in contact with military staff of Taliban, it
asserts that along the road between Spin-Boldak city and Kandahar occurred a
number of fierce clashes with so-called pro-American Pashtun. According to the
data of agency, American special services, and in particular CIA, armed and
headed local criminal groupings of Pashtun, who specialize in narcotics and
bandit attacks. Taliban destroyed one of such groupings on 30th
November during fierce fighting. According to the data of Taliban themselves, in
this battle were destroyed 100 fighters of Pashtuns and 17 American commandos,
who were located in the detachment as advisers and instructors.
On
Sunday reached the information about severe battle between Taliban and Americans
in Shindan area. Agency «Azzam» reports that according to the preliminary data,
losses of Americans in this battle could exceed 100 people. According to the
information of the same agency, combat operations in Helmand were photographed
by a video camera, and will soon be presented to journalists.
The
direct confirmation of the serious losses of USA in combat in Afghanistan became
report of Iranian agency IRNA
and Pakistani press. The bodies of 124 American commandos, who were killed in
Afghanistan, were delivered to USA already on 29th November, reports
IRNA with reference to Pakistani newspaper «Observe». On the assertions of the
newspapers, commandos were killed in the clashes with Taliban in the province of
Helmand. They attempted to render support to formations of former governor of
Kandahar, Gul Agha against Taliban.

tens of the marines of USA were killed near Kandahar as a result of actions of
Taliban’s detachments of suicide attackers. On this with reference to close to

Post». On its version, on last Tuesday and Wednesday near Kandahar, Taliban
killed at least 50 American marines, and on Friday in the evening - fifteen more.
