Recently
report came from Georgia: in Pankis gorge were kidnapped monk-recluses Basila
Machitadze and Takhnil Khachidze and two novices. Then on the night of 20th
November, unknown persons attempted to explode the bridge, which leads to
construction of Khodor EPS. Here Russian Mass Media again addressed about
terrorist without borders in Ahmet area of Kakheti. During last several days, in
Georgia much is said about intensification of influence in Pankis of alien
wahhabits. They construct mosques there and penetrate their manners of life,
writes «Vremya novostei». The author of note attracts the attention of the
reader: all crimes in Pankis are the matter of the hands of omnipresent
wahhabites, who are ready to kidnap and kill whom they want, so that to satisfy
themselves.
Attention
is drawn to one coincidence. The abduction of monks and attempt at the explosion
of bridge occurred soon after the interview of Eduard Shevardnadze with television
station «Rustavi-2»,
in which, head of Georgia said: «We have no proofs, that Gelayev is such a
terrorist as he is suspected to be. As assert some residents of the villages of
Kakheti, Gelayev is normally thinking, educated person, favorably oriented to
Georgia». Furthermore, President stated, «members of Gelayev committed no
crimes in Pankis gorge». Moscow could not bear this. Russian politicians and
journalists anxiously agitated: «This is must! When the entire civilized world
and entire progressive humanity, everyone as one, struggles against
international terrorism, Shevardnadze is defending international bandit Gelayev!»
Russian procurator demanded handover of Chechen commander from Georgia.
Moscow
again showed: cynicism - main feature of its political style. Here for several
years in Russia live Igor Georgadze, searched by Interpol for the organization
of attempt on Shevardnadze. He openly communicates with Russian press. And it is
nothing! No one detains him. He is not handed over in the handcuffs to Tbilisi.
Moscow likes «double standards», what to speak. But still more it likes
provocations. Russian special services zealously kindle conflict between
orthodox Kakhetians and Moslem Kysts in Ahmet area in order to create in Georgia
one more atmosphere of instability and then to «peacemake» troops there. They
at first kidnapped businessmen. Now in the course went religious arguments.
From
the border with Pankis gorge to Kakhetan’s villages already arrived orthodox
fundamentalists from radical religious association «Dzhvari» (Crest). They
call the kidnapped recluses «spiritual brothers». People from «Dzhvari» are
noted for their extremism and religious intolerance. Under the leadership of the
father Basiliy, removed from the official Georgian Orthodox Church, they
severely thrashed Jehovahists. Now someone competently sets them against
Moslem-Kists and refugees from Chechnya. But it is asked, is it necessary for
Chechens to kidnap monk-recluses, who repeatedly rendered them hospitality. They
say even, that once the monks saved in the mountains 16 freezing Chechens, who
were passing across the pass.
Allegedly
for the monks is demanded enormous ransom - one million dollars. Yes even if all
monks of the Georgia give all their money, they will not collect this sum. To
kidnap religious people for the ransom is complete nonsense. Political motive is
clearly traced here. Opposition between Kakhetians and Kysts in Pankis gorge is
favorable only to Moscow. Since this conflict (may God does not allow it to
happen) will give occasion to Russia to be mixed into internal affairs of
Georgia and will avert Georgian from the humanitarian aid to suffering Chechens
from Russian aggression.
Furthermore,
Russian propaganda after this abduction obtained occasion to depict Shevardnadze
as enemy of nation. Reason is simple: White fox defends wahhabites, Gelayev, and
those who kidnap orthodox monks. May God give sufficient wisdom to Kysts and
Kakhetians not to act upon provocation? Expert on the interrelations of the
peoples of Caucasus, popular in Tbilisi, Mamuka Areshidze assumes: hardly are
involved Chechens in the crime, interested to preserve stability in Pankis gorge.
It is not necessary to be prophet in order to understand: agents of Russian
special services kidnapped monks.
They
surely arranged explosion of the bridge, which leads to construction of Khodor
EPS. But several weeks ago, EPS was fired from grenade-guns. Lived in the
Kakhetan’s villages several weeks even by hearsay I do not know in last year
4, as the local peasants need electricity: both Kysts and Kakhetians. In their
houses, lamps light up only for two or three hours during the day. They already
got tired to while away evenings with dim light of oil stoves.
In
case of the putting into exploitation of Khodor EPS will be able to ensure
electric power for entire Kakheti area. But Russian imperialists have to spit on
Georgian misfortunes. They should avert investors from Georgian economy. Here
they fire at EPS in Pankis. Chinese investors intended to invest 25 million
dollars in its building. «Now they are seriously perturbed with the proceeding.
And conduct consultation with its leadership in Peking». It is possible that
building of object will be complicated. That is what Russian imperial circles
want to attain.
