In
the context of last events in Afghanistan already is possible in other way to
comprehend some mysterious circumstances of death of the Panjsher lion of Ahmed
Shah Masood.
Already
11 September newspaper «Kommersant», describing attempt on Masood, gave its
article with more than eloquent title: «Masood
is living .
But
dealing makes him dead».
During
those days, situation around the attempt on military leader of the Afghan
Northern Alliance, Ahmed Shah Masood and indeed resembled the dashingly twisted
detective. The most different sources as if consciously cast out disinformation,
which only tangles the matter. Now, after the above-mentioned report e, it
is possible more
or less to examine in that ball of the contradictory reports of the fragments of
truth.
If
we look at the attempt from today's realities, then it is possible to say that
the so-called strategic union of USA and Russia against Afghanistan was
concluded long ago and Putin with Bush today played the simply excellently
rehearsed play. Without the elimination of Ahmad Shah Masood, the present scene
of Afghan theater would be hardly possible. 48 years old, being
commander-in-chief of troops of Northern Alliance, Ahmad Shah Masood officially
counted by Vice President and Minister of Defense in the internationally
recognized government of Burhanuddin Rabbani. Authority of one of the best-known
field commanders even from the times of Soviet-Afghani war, then already
commander of powerful army, which controlled Panjsher valley, they would not
make possible intensification of Northern Alliance due to Karimov commandos. Yes
even in the course of any negotiations, he could destroy any contrivances of
leaders of anti-terrorist coalition. He leaves, for its elimination of base
completely in a serious way.
Now
let us turn to some non-couplings of that attempt. Helicopter with injured
General Masood (Ahmed Shah Masood) aboard appeared in airspace of Tajikistan in
the evening on 9th September in Sunday. For all this became complete
unexpected contingency. They speak, when to one of the colleagues of the
administration of President, Imomali Rakhmonov, reported that into the capital
flies General Masood, that was thought that he arrived for celebration: the
country exactly celebrated decade of independence. And at a loss muttered: «We
did not invite him...»
Since
in Tajikistan on occasion of the day of independence, special routine from 7th
of September was introduced, Tajik forces -
AIR DEFENSE and their Russian associates first forbade the unsanctioned flight
to airship. And only heard from onboard of helicopter selected Russian mat
forced the officers of AIR DEFENSE to believe in seriousness of proceeding.
Helicopter
with General Masood was accepted on the distant, so-called Afghan stand of
Dushanbe airport. General appeared badly: his breast and feet were tied up. They
delivered him into the military hospital of Russian 201 motorized rifle division,
deployed in Tajikistan. Russian medical officers began to struggle for the life
of the former irreconcilable enemy of Soviet troops and as if they indicated
that it is possible to place him on the feet after three-week treatment.
According
to the data on 10 September, General Masood was living and even he was found in
consciousness, although his state remained serious. He was injured in the arm
and feet and lost much blood. But strangely, on the official version, General
Masood seemingly was situated in Tajik government hospital. As they explained to
the correspondent of newspaper, «Kommersant»,
Russian military
sources in Tajikistan, this disinformation was neglected specially in order not
to advertise participation of Russia in the fate of Afghan General.
However,
but what in reality occurred in that very matter? On Sunday, 9 September,
General Masood gave interview to two-television journalist (supposedly, from
Algeria), who introduced themselves correspondents of international Arab
television network and had with themselves Belgian passports. During recording,
one of the cameras was spoiled, and operator approached the spare, that was
lying on the side of General Masood (by this it is explained the nature of the
injuries obtained by it). At this moment was heard explosion. One of the «journalist»
died on the spot, guards shot down the other one. Also died Azim Suhail, trusted
face of General and organizer of his encounters with press. Several men obtained
injuries.
This
story causes many questions, not to one of which was given any intelligible
answers in the official communications.
Who
were these journalists? On the official version, these are terrorists-kamikaze.
But it is reliably known that till the attempt on life, they as minimum for a
week conducted filming in Afghanistan. Moreover, as was reported to
correspondent of newspaper «Kommersant»
by the one living in emigration, editor in chief of Tajik newspaper «Charoghi
Rooz», Dododjon Atovullo,
simultaneously with two journalist - Arabs of interview with General Masood was
present also woman journalist from France, but she left, without having waited
for encounter with him.
Why
guards did not check the apparatus? Official explanation of the Northern
Alliance: «Masood never checked journalists. He related to them very well and
never he saw terrorists in the journalists». This, softly saying, highly
improbably: attempts on General Masood were accomplished not less than two ten
times and to expect something similar to leader of one of the belligerents in
the climax of military actions followed daily. Especially as the service of
safety of Northern Alliance headed this experienced counterintelligence agent,
as General Mohammed Fahim.
As
this person occupies today one of the key positions in the hierarchy of Northern
Alliance, leads to the self-made treatment of the events of that tragic day
indeed the graduate of Kabul polytechnic institute, 53 years old General
Mohammad Fahim during the Soviet-Afghan war headed reconnaissance of the
formations of Ahmad Shah Masood and at the end of 1991, he led the
administration for national Islamic security of Afghanistan, the powerful and
branched special service, actively working both inside the country and abroad,
including in CIS.
Why
guards did shoot down the second terrorist on the spot? In the practice of the
special services of the entire world, it is utmost attempt to arrest terrorists
by living in order to reach to the customers.
Who
were customers? The representative of Taliban Abdul
Hai Mutmaen rejected at that the charge by completely
curious manners: "If this was the matter of our hands, we with the pride
would declare about this: indeed he is our enemy". Northern Alliance here
extended the most convenient version, which they caught in Russia: after the
attempt stands international terrorist number one, Osama Ben Laden. But it is
significant, that to this version did not peck western information agencies,
usually keen to the charges in Ben Laden's address.
All
that someone (possibly, even not journalists themselves) succeeded without
difficulty carry explosive, and the fact that the second executor of terrorist
action was killed on the spot - so that he would not make a slip of the tongue
excess, it directs at the specific thoughts. Finally, on another day came more
than strange report, that as the commander-in-chief of forces of the Northern
Alliance in haste appointed a person, who answered for the security of Ahmed
Shah Masood, that is, someone other than General Fahim.
However
that may be, one thing is obvious: the brittle geopolitical equilibrium in
Afghanistan, which was being actually held on one person - General Masood was
consciously disrupted. After his April trip to France, where he completely
charmed the management of Euro-union, the West was ready to render aid to
Northern Alliance «under specific person». Then he generally could ignore the
influence of Russians and conduct independent policy, which scarcely would give
chance to Russia and its allies to manipulate in Afghanistan with his presence.
And
finally, the last: attempt
on Ahmed Shah Masood was perfected only in two days before the aircraft attack
on USA.
