On
Saturday, Human Rights Watch agency «Prima» has circulated information that
Chechen commander Shamil Basayev has put forward ultimatum to Russian invader
with the demand to start disarmament and conclusion of occupational armies from
territory of CRI within 72 hours. The correspondent of «Kavkaz-Center» in
Ichkeria has met with Amir of Supreme Military Madzhlisul Shura of mujahideen
and asked him to comment on this report of agency «Prima».
Shamil
Basayev: «I confirm, that on behalf of Supreme Military Madzhlisul Shura of
mujahideen, we put forward 72-hours ultimatum to Russian occupational command,
since Monday November 5 to start voluntary disarmament and conclusion of armies
from territory of independent Chechen state. Invaders should hand over arms and
ammunition to heads of local administrations of CRI, military commandant offices
and commanders of specific sectors and directions of Chechen armed forces.
We
offer to occupational command and individual field commanders of Russian
occupational armies to immediately make contact with representatives of Chechen
authorities and Chechen command for handover of weapon and subsequent
unobstructed exit from territory of CRI. In turn, we guarantee safety of those
units and divisions, which will surrender the weapon and will express their
intention to leave limits of the Chechen state. I especially want to emphasize,
that it is an ultimatum, and not an offer or a wish.
Besides
on behalf of Chechen mujahideen, I again want to address to leadership of United
States with an urgent appeal to stop senseless bombardments of Afghanistan and
murder of innocent civilians of this country. We call administration of the
White House as well as responsible political leaders, and personally
the president of USA, George Bush to cut off relation with criminal-terrorist
state formation in the name of Russia and to break off connections with the
leader of all known, the most dangerous and monstrous in their plans and actions,
the largest terrorist organization in history of mankind «al-KGB» of Vladimir
Putin. Connections with any responsible heads of any country of the world with
leaders of this bloody terrorist organization only discredit these countries and
their governments».
