Western
and some Russian information sources inform, that on air base Tozel, nearby to
Tashkent, American transport planes have landed. It became known later, that in
Tozel have landed planes, which are military transport planes «Hercules». On
their board, according to the western sources, there is special reconnaissance
equipment. The exact data on number of planes at present is no possible for
journalists.
During
last off days, administration of White House has acted with official caution to
citizens of USA not to visit Uzbekistan in a kind of danger of threat to their
lives. And in spite of the fact that neither Pentagon, nor official Tashkent
while in any way does not make comments on the information on occurrence of
American planes near Tashkent, caution to citizens of USA indirectly specifies
that Uzbekistan becomes one of the key countries for Washington in forthcoming
large-scale military operation against Afghanistan.

France Press informs, that it has obtained data on landing of American planes
from sources in military department of Uzbekistan. Airport Tozel is considered
main military air base of Karimov regime. It is located in several kilometers
from center of capital of the country, Tashkent. There in due time made
intermediate landing by transport planes of army of USSR, directed in
Afghanistan. Earlier Islam Каримов
already has made the decision that American helicopters, which were taking part
in recent joint maneuvers of armies of Uzbekistan and NATO, will stay at the
airport of Chirchik, at 40 kilometers from Tashkent.
In
the meantime, international observers and analytics actively discuss position of
Russia in connection with armies of geo-political opponent of Moscow in the read
out days have appeared at a threshold of Russia. «Russia
only will be glad, if America liquidates threat to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan
from the side of Taliban, - marks, for example, an observer American

- However for people planning Russian policy, it is difficult to reconcile with
realization of American military operations on suburbs of former Soviet empire.
Washington should achieve access to information of the Russian information from
Moscow but not shut eyes at dirty war in Chechnya».
However,
majority of analysts pay attention to the inconsistent signals proceeding from
Russian leadership. Foreign Minister, Igor Ivanov, for example, declared that
each country (it is meant, as the countries of Central Asia) itself would solve
the problem on cooperation with USA. At the same time, Defence Minister, Sergey
Ivanov resolutely excluded an opportunity of such presence.
Clearly,
that to what level, Russia shared today the position of USA, it considers
American military presence in the region as threat to traditional influence in
Central Asia. Moscow not without justification is afraid, that after making
American attacks from former Soviet territory, Russia appears involved in wider
conflict for which it is not ready. These fears are not deprived at all of the
bases, as there in Russia are millions of Muslims on its southern border, in
Kazakhstan and in other former Soviet republics. Muslim population totals
not one ten millions. In case of malevolent development of situation in
Afghanistan, these Muslim communities can become serious destabilizing factor
for Russia and entire region.
