What
did happen to Putin? Exactly, this is the question asked by many, when the owner
of Kremlin unexpectedly decided to answer the appeal of Nemtsov to start
negotiations with president Maskhadov. Speaking in press conference in Kislovodsk,
Putin declared, that «negotiations always are better than war!?» Moreover, he
suddenly declared his readiness to begin negotiations with Maskhadov, who till
now was summoned only to public prosecutor. In fact, Putin made substantial slip
of the tongue, having named conditions of possible negotiations - Unconditional
disarmament of mujahideen, handing over to Moscow of Chechen leaders and
recognition of colonial dependence on Russia (Chechnya - part of Russia).
In
other words, Vladimir Putin frankly offered to Aslan Maskhadov to become a
traitor. Thus Maskhadov should kneel and present heads of the Chechen commanders
to Kremlin. In short, Chekist

is chekist (cop) even in Africa also. As a whole, it would not be necessary to pay any
serious attention to Putin's announcements in many circumstances. Till now,
through the lips of Yastrzhembsky, Kremlin rejected any idea on possible
negotiations, even on conditions declared in Kislovodsk. What has changed? Why
did, only after some days of Putin’s happening in Finland, where he declared,
that there is no war in Caucasus, he suddenly consider necessary to react to
crazy ideas of Nemtsov? It recollects that the known personage in due time of
Ilf and Petrov taught to partners of cooperative society «Horns and Hoofs»,
explaining that what is life. As Bender put it,
«Dear
Juriors, life is an intricate thing!»
But she opens simply as a box. It is necessary only to know how
to open it».
Ideas
and announcements of Putin, at first sight, seem very complex and confusing. But
actually are very simple, as the Soviet sausage on twenty Rouble. Military
campaign in Caucasus has failed. There are no prospects to win it. Long war is
not included in plans of Kremlin though numerous Kremlin analytics and
propagandists try to assure in the opposite. Moreover, actions of mujahideen
more and more force to doubt that occupational grouping is capable to sustain
the pressure of proceeding struggle.
Political
spectacle played by Nemtsov and Putin in presence of nation, pursues only one
purpose - to inspire Chechen leadership and people that peace is possible, but
only it is very difficult to make. Putin should be asked and prevailed upon. It
is necessary to sacrifice ones dignity, to overlook hundred thousand of killed
women, children, old men and to avail the moment, while the owner of Kremlin is
kind. Three months have been given for meditation. During this time, Chechens
would again have recollected their disagreements, to be divided into separate
groups and camps and to start struggling «for peace», but already
among themselves. And Moscow, in the meantime, will be prepared for winter
campaign.
Correspondent
of «Kavkaz-Сenter»
tried to find out reaction of some Chechen commanders to Putin's announcement
for conditions of possible negotiations. It is interesting to note that practically
all commanders among whom, the famous film «Brave heart» is very popular,
asked to inform their own conditions of negotiations to Putin, with the words of
William Wallace – «… Also we would like Mr. Putin to put his head between
his leg and kiss his ass.
