Hello!
I am sending to you thoughts of one of my friends.
I leave the text without signature.
“I am not afraid of anything, he says- but children..”
He
is elderly man and he saw many things in his century.
We talked with him very often about Chechnya.
I was there twice. For first
time in 1992, in November during Ossetin-Ingush conflict, (newspapers stamp, but
in reality slaughter-house, invasion of “peace makers» and marauders
following them to Prigorodni, preface of present war.”
Then I met with Johar Dudaev. He
said, “will be war,’ I didn’t believe him.
However, I published and interview and my report whole in Petersburg’s
editions. It seems to me I was
first Russian journalist, who said, “Will be war.”
But talk is not about me. I
just propose to you thoughts with conclusions and appraisals of which I
completely agree, although I am not involved in politics long ago.
I hope that opinion of common citizen of Russia (if such are) will be
interesting to you.

It is terrible that our nation that most of all suffered in war with
fascism approves that our army does on Caucasus to restore “ constitutional
order.”
Pitiful
attempts of Community memorial and Committee of Soldiers Mothers to organize
mass meetings of protests are in best case met with indifferent curiosity.
Tragedy of «Kursk» and death of 128 seamen shocked whole country, but
on Caucasus, even according to official data to which it is hard to believe, we
loose the same number of dead and injured every month.
For some unknown reason this doesn’t worry anyone.
When
long rank of howitzers beat Urus-Martan, as Berlin in 1945, no one remembers
that there are “Russian citizens of Chechen nationality in it” apart from
Chechen combatants. Or,
nevertheless, they are not our citizens? WE
sympathize with dwellers of Far-Eastern Partisansk, who for three days lived
without electricity, but we are absolutely indifferent to 140 thousand refugees
form Chechnya that live in Ingushetia in winter and summer in torn camps without
electricity, gas and water. They
are for us citizens of even not 2 but 5 or 7 kind.
International
community that wants to judge Yugoslavian war criminals does not accuse war
criminals Yeltsin, Grachev, Troshev, Shamanov, Kazantsev and Putin in war crimes.
Chechen nation will never forget crimes that Russia committed in relation
to them, the same as Estonia, Latvia, Lithwenia didn’t forgive us occupation,
the same, as we didn’t forget Tatar-Mongoli yoke.
Sooner or later Chechen nation will achieve victory.
