Hasan
Baiyev, famous Chechen surgeon, who operated on Shamil Basayev under the Russian
bombardments in Alkhan-Kala during winter of year 2000, continues to surprise
the world with unexpected victories at the most prestigious international
competitions on sambo-wrestling and judo.
Such
information came from USA one of these days, that Chechen surgeon, who has left
heavy sports for 13 years, has won the fourth place in world championship on
judo in Phoenix, Arizona, USA
In
this championship, more than 500 wrestlers from 37 countries participated,
including strongest teams from Japan, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Austria,
Korea, Russia, USA and Canada. After
a 13-years break, the result is convincing, it is necessary to tell directly.
Any expert will tell you, that it is not simply by chance. But to achieve such
result, Baiyev should be on the present good wrestler. Though doctor Hasan
recognizes, that all preparation for wrestler from his side was not at such
level which he would expect from himself.
The
extraordinary reason of winning only fourth place by Baiyev, was that during
passage of 13 years, rules of judo have considerably changed. The reason of no
access to 3rd place by doctor Hasan was his lack of information
concerning new rules. In
fight with an Englishman (Hedin) for 3rd place, as conducted by
Chechen surgeon during all fight and when up to the end, there are only some
seconds, the Englishman was unexpectedly seized by an eye. To Baiyev, strict
warning was made for conducting of rough fight that was fully unexpected for
doctor Hasan. The victory was given to his contender.
It
is necessary to tell, that Hasan Baiyev was in due time a member of combined
team of USSR on sambo-wrestling and judo. Having renewed trainings in April of
this year, Baiyev noticed, that he has not lost the sports form and sensitivity
of hands has practically remained as former. In numerous competitions, the
Chechen surgeon began to win many American participants of the world
championships and Olympic games. Then Baiyev decided, that it is necessary to
try him at serious competitions.
As
a result
of his efforts, besides 4th place in the world championship on judo,
he won two Gold Medals and 1st Medal in the Open Championship of USA on
sambo-wrestling, and the second medal was won in the world championship on
sambo-wrestling!!! These two Championships took place on July 4th
of Independence Day of USA. Having arrived in New Mexico, Chechen surgeon has
paid essential fees and was registered as participant of the world championship
on sambo-wrestling from Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. His
friends - Oleg Tahtarov and Victor Tatarkin helped him in organization of
his trip for championship.
In
materials of championships prepared for distribution, CRI appeared as Brazil,
Bulgaria, USA and Venezuela. In
both championships - on judo and sambo-wrestling Baiyev was offered to act in
team of Russia. But doctor Hasan has categorically refused, having declared,
that he is Chechen and will speak on behalf of the country. Hasan Baiyev
did not forget that he was member of command unit of USSR on sambo-wrestling,
exactly have been taken off from the plane, which was taking off for world
championship in Spain. Instead of Hasan, some Muscovite was sent.
Chechen
surgeon was principally to act only under Chechen Flag. More than once
journalists asked him, why he refused to support Russia. Every time he
answered, that the victories, I wanted to convey small pleasure to struggling
Chechen Republic and all people in these sad times. One of these days Hasan
Baiyev has taken part in open championship on judo of state Massachusetts
in Boston. Confidently having gained victories in all fights, Chechen surgeon
has added one more champion title to titles of champion and prizewinner of the
world.
