First
female detachment in Ukraine is being formed in Dnepropetrovsk in the frame of
the group for public security ensurance "Center".
In the detachment young women will learn the skills of bodyguarding. It is assumed that in the future this new female profession
will become very popular and needed.
In
the words of the head of the group "Center" Vladimir Gorb, female

"Lady"
special detachments are very popular in China and Japan while 80% of policemen
in France are women. Women-bodyguards
have plenty of advantages. They are more observant and enduring, detect a
potential "terrorist" in a crowd better and most importantly are not
as conspicuous. "A mighty
guard with a buffalo neck is spotted in one moment and in case of attack is
immediately neutralized. It is much
more difficult to "suspect" a special serviceman in a girl," Gorb
considers. By the way, according to unofficial data, leader of the Progressive
Socialist Party of Ukraine Natalia Vitrenko also uses the services of a woman
bodyguard.

girls, who have reached the age of 18, will be trained in Dnepropetrovsk female
detachment. The applicants are
required to pass psychological tests, to confirm unrelatedness to the criminal
world and to take a rather tough examination in physical training.
Hand fighting, psychology, foreign language as well as a mass of other
special classes are included in the training course.
If the girls are to ensure security of transporting radioactive compounds,
they will have to study chemistry thoroughly; if they are to guard order during
a church festival, they will have to comprehend what essentially happens during
Easter and Trinity Sunday.
In
the opinion of Vladimir Gorb, his graduates will find job easily.
They will be especially gladly "taken" by prosperous parents,
who are worried about the safety of their children.
A businesslady is also likely to prefer a female guard.
On the whole, famale detachments have a great future and it is planned to
"assemble" all districts of the city with them.
