Military operations in Itum-Kali region

Headquarters
of Chechen mujahideen commandment report about military operations in alpine
Itum-kali region of CRI. Mobile
subdivisions of mujahideen waged a battle with a group of Russian aggressors
near Itum-Kali and Ushkoloi during one day.
Chechen side reports that at least 13 Russian soldiers were destroyed and
about 15 were wounded in the course of the fierce crossfire.
There are losses on Chechen side as well. Two combatants became Shahids.
Although Russians used helicopters and aviation, mobile subdivisions of
mujahideen fulfilled their task and returned to their bases.
Chechen
side also reports about armed clashes in the region of populated area of
Chiri-Yurt. Here, subdivisions of
Chechen combatants fired a convoy of the enemy and exploded BTR and URAL
vehicles. 5 soldiers of the
aggressor were killed. 2 units of
armored machines were blown up and 7 occupants were killed as a result of 2
diversion operations carried out in Staropromyslovski and Avtorkhanovski region
of Johar. A BTR was exploded in
Gudermes. Two OMON men were
destroyed as a result of the explosion.
Chechen
side reports about another brutal murder of a Chechen child by Russian
aggressors. Russian occupants
suddenly began firing from BTR taking aim at local dwellersin the broad daylight
on 8 June in the regional center of Kurchaloi.
Short machinegun bursts were directed at a group of children returning to
their homes from school. A
10-year-old dweller of Kurchaloi, Tutaev Khamzat was killed as a result of
direct hit of large-scale machinegun bullet.
His leg was torn off. Second
bullet sliced half of his skull. Earlier
in the beginning of June, Russian occupants shot a pregnant woman and 2 students
of an institute, Shahidova and Daudova, in Johar.
Both crimes were committed in broad daylight on checkpoint of aggressors
not far from the town’s hospital number 9.
