Battles
and diversions of Chechen mobile subdivisions against the Russian occupational
group continue. Commandment
headquarters of Chechen mujahideen reports about sporadic battles in Nozhai-Yurt
and Vedeno regions and diversion actions in Johar, Gudermes as well as in
Urus-Martan, Shelkovskoi, Shali and Kurchaloi regions of the country.
Near populated area Belgatoi, a squad of Chechen combatants attacked a
so-called armored maneuver group of the enemy.
In the course of the half-an-hour-long short battle one unit of BMP
armored car was wrecked. 6
aggressors were killed. In the
region of Ersenoi, in the last several days, armed clashes take place
practically every day. In the last
24 hours a violent crossfire occurred here with a detachment of Russian specnaz,
which was performing a so-called “cleansing” of the locality with the
support of a helicopter. The
result of the “cleansing” was 4 corpses of Russian specnaz men.
In Nozhai-Yurt region of CRI, fighting too place close by Zandak and the
village Sayasan. According to the
data of the Chechen side, two motor cars URAL and two armored troop carriers BTR
were burned in the engagements with the Russian occupants.
At least 10 enemy soldiers were killed.
In
Johar near the former canning plant a group of Chechen combatants exploded a BMP
o the enemy. A motor car UAZ with 4
OMON (special militia detachment) men was blown up on Zhukovskaya Street. Explosion of war enginery was brought about in Gudermes as
well. The Chechen side reports that
two motor cars URAL and GAZ 66 were blown up in the region of the city bus
station after Russian occupants carried out a so-called “cleansing”
operation here and took hostages 7 local dwellers.
According to the data of the Chechen side, as a result of diversion
actions 6 aggressors were destroyed and 9 were wounded.
