President
of Georgia, Edward Shewardnadze demanded from heads of power structures to take
serious steps to combat the issue of terrorist groups. As he announced in his
interview with national radio on Monday that it is dictated in relation to
explosions that took place on Saturday in the Russian North Caucasus, situated
in neighborhood to Georgia. President of Georgia expressed his deep sympathy
with families of the dead ones as a result of terrorist act in
Russia
and informed that he also sent a message of condolence to Putin in this
connection. As was told by Edward Shewardnadze, the terrorist act in Russia
again recalls about the fact that more security measures should be taken in
Georgia for the sake of safety of country and its citizens. According to the
President,
there are specific destructive forces in Georgia, who attempt to destabilize the
situation and turn the country in chaos. Edward Shewardnadze advised not to
loose control of situation and mentioned about unearthing of huge quantity of
explosive and arms by employees of security organs recently.
He
similarly mentioned the recent facts, when one and a half month back, employee
of the Ministry of State Security while neutralizing an explosive device in the
main post-office of Tbilisi, prevented the destruction of many people on the
cost of his life. President Shewardnacze demanded from leadership
of
power organs to take serious steps for combating with terrorist groups.
According to his ratification, there is huge quantity of arms in Georgia.
President of Georgia demanded from the authorities, heads of local
administration and whole community to pay special attention in place of massive
crowding for possible act of terrorism.
At
the same time, President of Georgia Edward Shewardnadze firmly declared that
destabilization of the country will not be allowed at any cost. He emphasized
that recently there is an increase in the number of forecasters predicting about
new civil war and destabilization in Georgia, but their hopes cannot come true
as the country has all potentials to maintain its security. According to him,
destabilization will not be allowed by the nation itself, as it has already
experienced and will never forget that what means “foreign controlled puppet
chaos” and provocation by internal destructive forces of adventure. Only
adventurer and traitors of native-land can stand on their way to new
destabilization, marked Edward Shewardnadze.
